Floral Arranging with Dahlias
This workshop covers creating floral arrangements that showcase the dahlia. Eco-friendly techniques for large and small arrangements will be demonstrated. Arrangements made during the workshop will be available for auction later in the festival.
Dewey Hall Board Member Wenonah Webster is the principal and creative director of Webster Landscape, Inc. Prior to focusing on landscape design, she spent 20 years working closely first with Pamela Read Hardcastle and then Ariella Chezar, producing large weddings and events locally and abroad as well as floral installations at restaurants Chez Panisse, Zuni, and Quince in California.
Wenonah returned to the area full-time in 2011, making the Berkshires her permanent home to raise a family. Since moving back to Sheffield, she has been inspired, as a business owner, to be an active member of the community.
ASL interpretation services are available for the workshops if requested prior to September 1st by emailing deweyhalloffice@gmail.com. This service will be offered subject to interpreter availability.
This Dewey Hall Dahlia Festival is sponsored by: Webster Landscape Inc, One Mercantile/Sett, Windy Hill Farm, Clark, Green, and Bek, Campo de Fiori, John Field Tree Service, Ward’s Nursery, Acrisure, Race Mountain Tree Services, Inc., and Berkshire Mountain Distillery
NOTE: All proceeds support the operation and preservation of the nonprofit Dewey Memorial Hall, an historic community and arts center in Sheffield since 1887.
